Nvidia Geforce NOW celebrates 5th anniversary with new games

by on03 February 2025

The number of games is now at over 2,000

Nvidia Geforce NOW is celebrating its 5th anniversary this month, bringing new games and outlining how the game streaming service has grown over these last five years.

While it was originally introduced in October 2015, it was not before February 2020 when the service was officially available and exited its beta phase. According to Nvidia, the service now runs on a global network of low-latency RTX-based servers, and soon, it should update from RTX 40 series to RTX 50 series GPUs. Nvidia was also keen to note that it now supports over 2,000 games. Recently, Nvidia made a few moves that were not quite popular, including advertising during queue time and a 100-hour playtime limit, even for paid memberships.

In order to mark its 5th anniversary, Nvidia is bringing a bunch of new games to Geforce now, including some big titles like Avowed, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, Sid Meier's Civilization VII, Dead Island 2, Sniper Elite: Resistance, and others.
