Last week we told you that the Eee PC had at last swept onto European shores, here. After a long wait and a couple of delays, the low-cost notebook was finally available on dozens of e-tail sites, but if you were thinking about getting one, well, you'll just have to wait. Again.
After checking numerous sites which had previously listed the notebook, we found out that every single one of them had sold out. What's worse, the majority of retailers expect they will not have the Eee PC in stock for at least two weeks. Judging by past experience, this might even take a few days longer and there's still the question of volume, as it might turn out that they will sell the new shipment in a matter of days, as they did with the first batch.
Asus obviously isn't capable of churning out enough notebooks to meet global demand, but it chose not to postpone the European launch any longer. Hopefully, the next batch will be more than just a trickle.
