Dell has announced its latest mobile workstation, the Precision M6300 and this is one seriously powerful notebook, if you can call it that. It's more of a portable computer, as it has a 17in 1,920x1,200 widescreen display and weighs 3.85kg.
Feature wise we're looking at processor options all the way up to the Core 2 Extreme Edition X7900 at 2.8GHz and this can be combined with up to 4GB of DDR2 memory.
Graphics power comes from an Nvidia Quadro FX1600M OpenGL graphics card. Storage options range from a rather tiny 32GB SSD drive, to a 120GB encrypted drive all the way to a bog standard 200GB 7,200rpm drive.
Other features include DVI, Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR, 802.11n Wi-Fi, optional HSDPA card and writeable Blu-ray drive.
You can find the press release here, but it doesn't seem to have appeared at Dell's product page as of yet.
