The Dutch royal family has admitted editing a Wikipedia entry about Princess Mabel and Prince Johan Friso.

The 38yr old prince gave up his place in the line of succesion back in 2004, upon marrying Mabel Wise Smit without official consent.

Wise Smit had quite a controversial past. Prior to marrying the prince she was involved with Klaas Bruinsma, a slain drug baron, and Muhamed Sacirbey, a Bosnian diplomat accused of embezzling over 2 million US$.

Very poor judgment on her part, I'm sure you'll agree.

This is just the latest in a series of Wikipedia editing controversies, and in this case the edits were discovered by the Dutch media using Wiki Scanner.
