64-core SKU with 336ML of L3 cache and 350W TDP

Intel is preparing its new W890 platform for next-gen Xeon 6 workstation system and a 64-core Xeon 696X SKU has been spotted in SiSoftware Sandra database, running at 4.4GHz base clock and 4.51GHz Boost.

Spotted by @momomo_us and caught by Videocardz.com, the database entry in the SiSoftware Sandra clearly shows a Granite Rapids-WS SKU, which is in line with previous rumors that Intel is indeed working on such a platform, taking over from Xeon Workstation models like the Xeon W-3400 and Core X HEDT SKUs.

The SKU in question packs 64-cores and 128-threads, also confirming that at least the top SKUs will feature Hyper-Threading support, 128MB of L2 cache (64x2MB), and 336MB of shared L3 cache. The reported 4.4GHz base and 4.51GHz Boost clocks might not be final, as it is expected to have a higher Boost clock. The CPU has a 350W TDP, which is what Intel is targeting with its W890 workstation platform.

Intel Xeon696X 3

Intel has merged its HEDT lineup into the Xeon W (Workstation) lineup, so the SKU in question will be part of Intel's Xeon 6 family, and aims to bring the fight to AMD's quite successful Threadripper and Threadripper PRO models.
