Certification filings suggest

Google appears set to launch its next mid-range smartphone, the Pixel 9a, as early certification filings reveal promising new specifications.

The device, listed under the GTF7P model number on Singapore’s IMDA certification website, confirms support for 4G, 5G, Bluetooth, and NFC, while a similar FCC listing in the United States additionally hints at WiFi 6E and wireless charging support.

Expected to be powered by the Tensor G4 chipset and equipped with 8GB of RAM alongside up to 256GB of storage, the Pixel 9a is rumoured to offer a significant battery upgrade, boasting a 5,100mAh unit with fast charging capabilities—a marked improvement over its predecessor’s 4,492mAh battery and 18W charging limit.

Online renders further suggest that the handset will be available in a range of stylish hues, including Obsidian, Porcelain, Iris, and Peony, with anticipated pricing for the 128GB model at around €549 (£499) and the 256GB version at about €649 (£599).

Google has yet to officially confirm these details, so this is all speculation and leakage.
