Although Nokia is supposed to lead the Mango charge, HTC is the first outfit to unleash Mango handsets on the unsuspecting public.
Starting with the HTC Radar, a €350 affair with a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8225 processor and Adreno 205 graphics, HTC is hoping to seize the mid range market. It features a 3.8-inch SLCD 800x480 screen, 512MB of memory, 8GB of storage and a 5MP camera, all packed in a smart aluminium body measuring 120x61x10.9mm.
The HTC Titan is a bit more serious take on Mango. It’s powered by a 1.5GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 processor with Adreno 205 graphics and it has 512MB of RAM and 16GB of storage. Titan features a spacious 4.7-inch 800x480 SLCD, 8MP camera and it measures 131x70x9.9mm. The price currently stands at €499 in Holland and it costs roughly €540 in Germany and Britain.
With high end Android handsets selling for just over €400 and pretty good mid range phones going for less than €300, HTC could have a pretty tough time selling Mango phones at these prices.
