Apple agrees to pay Nokia royalties

Patent dispute settled, for the time being
Under the terms of the agreement, both companies will drop their claims and counterclaims, while Apple will pay an undisclosed one-of sum, along with regular ongoing royalties.
Nokia CEO Stephen Elop said he was pleased to see Apple among the growing number of Nokia licensees.
"This settlement demonstrates Nokia's industry-leading patent portfolio and enables us to focus on further licensing opportunities in the mobile communications market," said Elop.
In all fairness, it is probably a good idea to turn into patent troll when you can’t make a decent phone.
