OCZ is gearing up to roll out four new Vertex 3 series SSDs with a 7mm waistline.

The new Vertex 3 Low Profile drives come in 60, 120, 240 and 480GB capacities, with read and write speeds going as high as 550MB/s and 500MB/s respectively.



So, under the aluminium case we are looking at proper Vertex 3 drives, no compromises or tradeoffs. The spec is the same, but the drives are 2.5mm thinner, so they can be used as notebook upgrades.

There are a few listings around, but we are still not sure about the price.
