The SSD drive itself is packed in a 2.5-inch case, has SATA 6.0Gbps interface and features MLC NAND flash chips. It will be avialable in 64 and 128GB capacities that will deliver up to 550MB/s read and up to 480MB/s write speeds for the 64GB model, with 75,000 IOPS, and up to 550MB/s read and up to 510MB/s write for the 128GB one, with up to 80,000 IOPS. The Synapse Cache series also features TRIM support as well as ECC recovery, data encryption and all other regular features.
The new Synapse Cache SSD series will be backed by a three-year warranty and should hit retail/e-tail pretty soon. Unfortunately, the price hasn't been announced but we'll surely keep an eye out for this one.
