Gigabyte jumps the gun on 8600 GTS

Silent-Pipe 3 Graphics Accelerator
Motherboard maker Gigabyte has released its Silent-Pipe 3 Graphics Accelerators based on the GeForce 8600 GTS.
The technology which aims to create a silent graphics card is now in its third generation. According to a statement from the company the cards has a new VGA card cooling technology which uses the natural convection inside the chassis to disperse heat.
It also has something that the company calls Inner Turbulence Fluid Mechanics. It consists of layered long and short fins with trapezoid punches. This changes the smooth air flow into turbulent air flow inside the heat sink. The idea is that this will improve the overall thermal performance.
The Gigabyte GV-NX86S256H comes bundled with Supreme Commander and is powered by the latest GeForce 8600 GTS GPU with 256MB GDDR3 memory and DirectX 10 and Shader Model 4.0 support. The Gigabyte GV-NX86S256H delivers highly realistic gaming effects and enables full support for Vista Premium.
Unlike its past efforts the 8600 GTS has a dedicated on-chip video processor andsupports Quantum Effects Technology.
It also supports HDCP video output and Dual Dual-Link DVI, so it can work well with Blu-ray and HD DVD formats.
