According to the announcement, the new Cinebench 2026 now uses the new Redshift rendering engine, which is used in Cinema 4D 2026. It allows users to compare multi- to single-threaded CPUs, supports Windows x86-64, Windows on ARM64, and macOS, which adds it wider range of systems.
The new Cinebench 2026 also adds support for new AMD and Nvidia GPUs, including AMD RDNA 4-based RX 9000 series and Blackwell-based RTX 5000 series. It also adds support for Nvidia's data center Hopper and Blackwell GPUs, as well as Apple's own M4 and M5 SoCs.
It is also important to note that since the new Cinebench 2026 changes the score calculations, these are not comparable to the Cinebench 204 scores.
