ASUS RTX 5070 dips below MSRP

by on19 September 2025

Nvidia price slide continues

While Nvidia's RTX 50 series finally has enough cards in the wild, prices are dipping with some falling below their original MSRP.

Best Buy, Walmart, Amazon, and Newegg are selling NVIDIA's RTX 50 series GPUs for a much cheaper price than is normal for this time in the sales cycle.

The best deal spotted so far is an ASUS GeForce RTX 5070 SFF going for just $523 on Amazon, a $34 saving. Not bad, considering it goes toe-to-toe with AMD’s RX 9070 but with better ray tracing muscle. The catch is that the deal is locked behind Amazon’s Prime paywall.

Meanwhile, the RTX 5060 Ti has started dropping to more sensible prices. If you’re sticking with 1080p or moving to 1440p without draining your wallet, there are a few decent offers floating around. A GIGABYTE RTX 5060 WINDFORCE OC 8G is going for $298 on Amazon, while the 5060 Ti is as low as $344 on Newegg for the 8GB version. The 16GB variants hover around the $429 mark at Best Buy and Newegg, depending on the model.

If you're after 1440p gaming without compromise, Nvidia’s RTX 5070 and 5070 Ti are sitting close to MSRP but without any pointless markups. You’ll find the PNY RTX 5070 OC with triple fans for $547 and the ASUS PRIME 5070 12GB for $549. The 5070 Ti models remain slightly pricier, with both ASUS and PNY’s offerings pegged at $749.

For those with a proper 4K itch to scratch, the RTX 5080 is finally showing up at its intended price. Both GIGABYTE’s WindForce SFF 16GB and ASUS’s 5080 SFF 16G are sitting at $999 on Amazon.

Gamers who don’t want to faff around building their own rig can grab a few pre-built machines that aren’t completely taking the mickey. A Stormcraft Sirius Gaming PC with an i7 14700F, RTX 5060 Ti 16GB, 32GB RAM and 2TB SSD sits at $1299 on Newegg. If you fancy something chunkier, the Andromeda Insights Ultra 50 Vector packs a Ryzen 9800X3D and RTX 5080 for $2349. There’s even a middle-of-the-road option in the Elite Pro 50 Vector featuring an RTX 5070 Ti and i7 12700KF for $1599.
