The news came immediately after Nvidia confirmed the release date to board partners which was leaked to Chinese media. The information confirms that the RTX 5090D V2 will indeed launch on August 12, as rumored earlier, but Nvidia is also preparing an official announcement for August 5th.
The Geforce RTX 5090D V2 comes as result of new export restrictions which made Nvidia discontinue the original RRTX 5090D, and the new one is nothing but the same Geforce RTX 5090D, with the same amount of CUDA cores, same clocks, even the same TDP, just 1/4 of the memory, pulling it from 32GB 512-bit down to 24GB 384-bit, as reported by Videocardz.com.
