Chipzilla’s Battlemage “G31” leaks

by on02 May 2025

New ARC GPU push

Troubled Chipzilla has apparently slipped another ARC Battlemage graphics card into the pipeline, as a new “G31” model turned up in a shipping manifest en route to Intel Vietnam.

For those not in the know, this facility is known for churning out the so-called “Limited Edition” ARC GPUs, meaning something new may soon be added to the underwhelming ARC family.

Only two Battlemage cards exist publicly. There is the ARC B580 with 12GB of VRAM and the ARC B570 with 10GB . The sudden appearance of a G31 product suggests a third player is being prepped. According to leaker Haze, who spotted the shipping log, it looks like Intel is gearing up to either revive or relaunch a high-end ARC Battlemage GPU, possibly as a Limited Edition model.

If Chipzilla presses ahead, expect a GPU possibly branded as the ARC B770 or B780. The specs are likely to be16GB or more of VRAM and performance aimed squarely at AMD’s RX 9070 and Nvidia’s RTX 5070.

Adding spice to the dark satanic rumour mill, there’s chatter about a workstation-friendly ARC B580 variant with 24GB of VRAM. If it materialises, it’ll put AMD and Nvidia’s current memory allocations to shame at that price point—provided Intel doesn’t trip over its own drivers again.

Despite the mixed reception to its earlier ARC launches, Intel insists it’s still deadly serious about GPUs, treating them as essential to its future plans. Whether discrete or integrated, Chipzilla can’t afford to tap out now—not with AMD and Nvidia hoovering up all the silicon glory.

Still, we’ve seen leaks and vapourware before. Until the G31 silicon makes it past customs and into retail boxes, this one stays firmly in the “maybe, but don’t hold your breath” drawer.
