Since most graphics cards on the market require the third monitor to be connected via DisplayPort, or an active DisplayPort adapter, Sapphire has launched a new graphics card that will be a part of its Flex series, allowing users to connect all three monitors via two DVI and HDMI-DVI ports, the HD 7950 Flex Edition.

The new Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 Flex is based on AMD's Tahiti Pro GPU with a total of 1792 stream processors, or 28 GCN compute units and features 3GB of GDDR5 memory paired up with a 384-bit memory interface. Since it features Sapphire's custom Dual-X cooler, the new HD 7950 Flex graphics card ended up with a slight factory overclock set at 860MHz for the GPU and 1250MHz (5GHz effective) for memory.

The card features two DVI ports, HDMI and two mini-DisplayPort outputs with an ability to use both DVI and HDMI for multi-monitor setups.

The new Sapphire HD 7950 Flex is already listed in Europe with a €365,87 price tag, which is about €30 or so more expensive than a standard and reference cooled HD 7950.
