Other than the fact that it has a lower power requirement, Powercolor's HD 6790 is pretty much the same as all HD 6790 cards launched today as it features a 40nm Barts GPU with 800 Stream processors clocked at 840MHz and comes with 1GB of GDDR5 memory clocked at 4200MHz and paired up with a 256-bit memory interface. Powercolor decided to go for the cooler previously seen on some HD 6800 series cards. This one has a center placed 92mm fan paired up with three heatpipes and a large aluminum heatsink. Since it has done a good job on the HD 6800 series we are quite sure that this one should cope well with the HD 6790 as well.
The backplate is left with DVI, HDMI and mini DisplayPort outputs. The card is currently listed in Europe for as low as €114,13 and is currently the cheapest listed HD 6790 card.
