Alienware caught a lot of attention with its ultra large screen, but we were quite disappointed to see that this is a DLP-based screen. It will show you the Crysis in a great resolution, but it won't do this with LCD.

We guess the main obstacle to make such a display with LCDs would be that LCD panels cannot be curved, at least not that we know of. Alienware is happy with the way things are going and Dell got a nice gaming asset and a lot of PR attention.

We are not sure if this product will ever make it to production, as it looks like a nice PR diversion of a sweet to look at, never to hit the market product. As you can see in the picture, it looks really cool.
