Broadcasting himself playing Path of Exile 2 in what he dubbed an “airborne continuity test” of Starlink, Musk’s stream turned into a public roast session. Viewers lit him up with savage in-game chat: “You have no real friends and will die alone,” read one. “You ruined the country just like you ruined all your marriages,” snapped another.
“Anyone spamming the chat will get uhhh,” Musk warned as he scrambled to mute messages, but the barrage kept coming. One player impersonated MAGA influencer Ashley St Clair—who claimed Musk fathered her child—begging him to “please pay your child support.”
His estranged daughter, Vivian Wilson, became part of the pile-on too. One gamer quoted her recent takedown: “He would try to constantly get us to play ranked with him… I’m 90 per cent sure it was just because we could carry him.” Wilson had recently mocked her father’s boasting about high scores in PoE2, dismissing it as “so cringe.”
Musk’s in-game performance didn’t help. Repeatedly killed by the game’s first boss, he abruptly cut the stream after a third death, blaming a conveniently timed “connection loss.” Viewers weren’t buying it. “You can hear his connection perfectly,” one noted on Reddit. “He will blame his STARLINK connection before he will acknowledge he sucks at video games.”
One viewer summed up the mood: “He’s literally a 53-year-old man baby, embarrassing.” Others noted he bizarrely tried to drown out the hate by playing tracks from ex-partner Grimes, who reportedly wants nothing to do with him.
“This was supposed to be a flex,” one commenter said, “and it turned into a masterclass in self-immolation.”
