Take-Two has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto 5 will not be among the titles that the publisher is showing off at E3 in June. Rockstar will instead be promoting GTA 5 at select events this summer.

That’s right: Take-Two says that their labels will not have a booth on the show floor at E3 this year. Marketing and PR teams will focus on showing both Rockstar and 2K titles this spring and summer using a number of other events.

It is very surprising that neither Rockstar nor 2K will be debuting their new next gen titles at E3, as it is anticipated that most other publishers and developers will be displaying in a big way what they have coming for the new Microsoft and Sony consoles. The real question is will either Take-Two or Rockstar be announcing any new next generation titles in the pipeline at E3?
