Actual details are sketchy, but a listing on the Gamasutra job boards indicates that the company is looking to hire a combat designer that will create real-time, single player combat experiences for new IP on next- generation hardware. The listing goes on to say that it is a chance to contribute to a project unlike anything the studio has ever done before.
While we know that Harmonix is finishing development on Rock Band Blitz and Dance Central 3, John Drake confirmed to Eurogamer that they are, “…actively developing multiple IPs on next-generation hardware and they are looking for devs to join them.”
We guess these days that is about the closest thing to a confirmation as you are going to get. Still, you have to wonder what a real-time combat game coming out of Harmonix would be like. We predict that if the title actually sees the light of day, this will be one to keep an eye on.
