Intel claims that its upcoming X38 chipset will be one hell of a overclocking miracle and that it will drive DDR3 memory all the way to 2.4GHz. Currently you really need to push P35 motherboards to get to 1600 MHz.

X38 sample boards and chipsets are ready and intel didn’t revealed the date of the launch of this chipset but it said that it will come soon.

Intel will also launch XMP memory specification for DDR3 and X38 will be the chipset to support such a feature.

We believe that X38 will really get the DDR3 sales to the next level.
