Mecher to lead design of new Karateka

Prince of Persia creator tells all during Comic-Con
Jordan Mecher who was the programmer and designer of the first Price of Persia title, told fans during a Q&A panel at Comic-Con that he would be heading the design team that will tackle the challenge of bringing a sequel to the Karateka series.
Karateka was the first game that Mecher developed while he was in school at Yale. Karateka was very much ahead of its time with the fluid animation that led to making the title so popular. In addition, it was the technology that Mecher developed in Karateka that led to the groundbreaking release of the first Prince of Persia title.
According to Mecher, he has wanted to be involved in a project to bring back Karateka, and the new version of the game will bring the title back in a way that you might not expect.
