A few weeks ago we came across an interesting listing for an unannounced Kabini based IBM ThinkPad. The Edge E145 packs a dual-core AMD E1-2500 APU clocked at 1.4GHz, along with 4GB of memory and a 500GB hard drive.

Now it's back with quite interesting SKU, which ships with FreeDOS rather than Windows 8. As a result, it is priced at just €349. The only trouble is that it is still not available, but the price is very good indeed.

In keeping with ThinkPad tradition, it features an 11.6-inch 1366x768 matte screen. Of course, a 1080p panel would have been better, but let’s not forget the price. It is a steal. Battery life shouldn’t be an issue, either. It has a six-cell battery, yet it weighs just 1.55kg.
