Apple’s new iPad is launching in 25 countries today, from shamrock covered fields in Ireland, through exquisite Czech beer halls to New Zealand, experiencing its worst Marmite shortage on record.

In most European markets, the entry level new iPad is set to cost €479, although prices will vary due to different tax codes and plain human greed. Some users might be miffed to learn that they won’t be able to use speedy LTE in their native countries, but many in Europe simply won’t be able to afford it anyway, at least not without IMF assistance or Angela Merkel’s euros.

We are hoping to score a sample later today and we will do a review over the weekend, pitting the new iPad against a high-end Android tablet. Sadly, Nick turned down the offer on religious grounds, so Fudo will have to review both.
