If you’re looking for some serious punch on your 14 inch
laptop, then Gigabyte’s latest addition to its product line might be a
wise investment.
The Q1447N, as it’s “imaginatively” named, comes with a
choice of i3/i5/i7 CPUs and Nvidia Geforce 310M graphics and features a WXGA
1366x768 screen. The device will support up to 8GB of SO-DIMM DDR3 (2 x 4GB
configuration), which is pretty nice for a 14’’ and probably more than most desktop
users will ever need.
It comes with a 2.5’’ SATA HDD 5400rpm drive in 250, 320 or 500GB
configurations and features a DVD/Blu-ray drive, although we've been told that Blu-ray will depend on the SKU. The Q1447N packs a Li-ion 6-cell battery, but battery life will probably
significantly vary depending on the actual configuration.
Six cell 5200mAh battery as well as DVD / Blu-ray are definitely a nice touch as we dont see many Blu-ray drives in notebooks these days, at least not in the smaller ones.
Less is more? Not this time we guess.
