Google announces its app store

Follow the Apple
The search outfit has announced plans to extend the idea of Android app marketplace and make what will be “imaginatively” called Google Apps Marketplace.
Google will be working with more than 50 other companies to launch the service and purchasing an app will be similar to how it’s currently done on Android Marketplace. After clicking and agreeing to vendor’s terms of service, user has to grant access to the data the app requests, although Google naturally warns users of allowing access to only the apps you trust.
Google Marketplace site reads:"The Google Apps Marketplace offers products and services designed for Google users, including installable apps that integrate directly with Google Apps. Installable apps are easy to use because they include single sign-on, Google's universal navigation, and some even include features that integrate with your domain's data."
The company says that app creation will be done using open protocols when it comes to development as well as authorization for billing and access.
