Call of Duty: MW2 stats go down on Xbox Live

Only for a little while, till Microsoft fixes it
News reached us that apparently due to a database glitch, the stats for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 for Xbox Live users was down for a bit yesterday. The exact nature of this database glitch is actually unknown beyond the fact that there was a problem that caused some downtime for the stats; which, according to our sources, could have been as much as two hours to less than a hour, depending who you listen to.
News that those who were impatient and attempted to reconnect added to the stats over and over again during the outage, versus those that could have been playing with old stats that could have been overwritten, still did not discourage some from still trying to play.
From what we have been able to uncover, it would appear that Microsoft was able to save the day and get the database back up and going. According to reports, no stats were lost; and at worst case only status that could have been accumulated during the stats database outage could be affected. If stats were lost, it would only be for a few matches, and very few experience points could have been lost even if this was the case.
Apparently, the problem only plagued Xbox 360 users and it didn’t last very long, and besides no stats appear to have been lost. It seems that despite all of the hubbub that people were making out of this news, there really was very little, if anything, to come of it.
