Ubuntu to work with Moblin

Love in Linux land
The outfit behind Ubuntu, Canonical is announcing new partnerships with Intel, SanDisk, and RealNetworks. It is looking like the outfit will be demonstrating the Moblin version of the Ubuntu Netbook Remix.
Using beta code from Intel the Moblin version is not going to be made public yet, but when Moblin 2 is out then Canonical will go public. Intel has said that it wants to have Moblin 2 out by Christmas. UNR is designed for OEMs and will make it easier for them to ship Ubuntu-powered, Intel Atom-based netbooks.
Currently OEMS are shying away from Linux and are opting for Windows XP. Some are looking to Windows 7. However with Ubuntu working closer with Intel and co it might make a come back.
