We've learned that one of Nvidia-only partners, Leadtek, recently fired 450 people from its operation. We've reported that Taiwanese managers are concerned about the future of the industry and some people won’t continue their careers in their old companies.

Taiwanese companies tend to make these drastic moves much more often than western managers, and the people in Taiwan tend to change companies like there is no tomorrow, but still when you let 450 people go, this has to be treated as a serious change in behavior.

Leadtek was not in Nvidia’s top six list and this might be the partial reason behind the cuts, but most likely Leadtek wants to prepare for a possibly bad 2009.
