Land lines to become a thing of the past

Verizon offers incentives to go exclusively mobile
Verizon Communications has announced that it will offer incentive discounts to land line customers to go completely wireless if they also combine Internet or TV services offered by Verizon. Depending on the wireless package selected, the discounts range from $8 to $21 per month.
According to the AP reports, Verizon plans to introduce the Flex Double Play bundle for customers who combine their Verizon Wireless plan with broadband service or Fios TV (Verizon’s cable TV service).
The discount reportedly applies to DSL service with downloads at 3 MB/second and to Fios (fiber optic) broadband at up to 20MB/second. Verizon’s fastest DSL plan (7 Mbps) and its fastest Fios service (50 Mbps) are not included in the bundling incentives.
