U2 slammed by bloggers

Anti-piracy claims dumb
Pop dinosaurs U2 have been slammed by bloggers after comments from their manager calling for tougher action against pirates.
Paul McGuinness, U2 manager, said that he wants to fight file sharing by forcing Internet service providers to ban people who pirate music. He said that money was not finding its way to artists and he blamed that on tech companies.
However, bloggers were fuming that McGuinness was moaning while his band raked in $355 million on its last tour. Wired.com's Ryan Singel said ISPs should use any nascent filtering technology they have developed to blackhole U2 and its frontman who goes by the ludicrous moniker, Bono.
