Lenovo entering deeper into server business

IBM to license System x servers
IBM has elected to license its System x Servers to Lenovo. This may not come as any surprise, since Lenovo also was the one who purchased IBM’s desktop and laptop PC business. What may come as a surprise is that IBM will continue to sell the System x Servers in parallel with Lenovo.
Lenovo will build System x servers in both single and dual processor configurations using both AMD and Intel processors in rack mount and tower configurations. This will be the first attempt by Lenovo to sell servers outside of the Chinese market.
