Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi his hoping to see off still competition in the mobile phone industry by investing $7.18 billion in artificial intelligence and fifth-generation internet technologies over the next five years.

In addition to the concept Mi Mix Alpha smartphone, Xiaomi also unveiled its newest flagship smartphone, the Mi 9 Pro. To be available in 4G and 5G versions, the Mi 9 Pro brings a couple of upgrades to the well-known Mi 9 smartphone, but keeps the same display and the same camera modules.

Xiaomi has just unveiled its new Mi Mix Alpha 5G concept phone which is not a foldable screen phone but rather comes with a wrap-around screen for 180.6 percent screen-to-body ratio, titanium alloy frame, 108-megapixel camera module, and Snapdragon 855+ SoC.

720p OLED screen, 48MP camera, and €250 price tag

As promised, Xiaomi has now officially launched its Mi A3 entry-level smartphone which cuts some corners compared to previous generations but comes with a decent camera and affordable €250 price tag.
