Custom versions could launch the day after

AMD is said to launch its new Radeon RX 7800 and RX 7700 series graphics card on August 25th, with AMD AIB partners like ASRock and Powercolor teasing their versions already. Custom versions, according to fresh rumors, could launch a day after, on August 26th.

AMD's Scott Herkelman, Senior VP and GM at AMD has confirmed that AMD will unveil new products at Gamescom 2023 on August 25th. While AMD does not confirm specific products, the best bet is on the recently rumored and leaked Radeon RX 7800 XT and Radeon RX 7700 XT graphics cards, and, possibly, the HYPR-RX and FSR3.

New figures from Mercury Research further point to signs of a market recovery in the sale of PC in the second quarter of 2023 and it seems that Intel is doing well out of it.

Limited to 500 units and you can't buy it

AMD and Bethesda are seriously teaming up for Starfield game launch and have now announced a limited edition Radeon RX 7900 XTX Starfield Edition GPU and Ryzen 7 7800X3D Starfield Edition CPU at the QuakeCon 2023. This is a limited edition run with only 500 units, at least when it comes to graphics cards, and it looks damn good.

Confirms 16GB and 12GB memory configurations

ASRock's submissions over at EEC for upcoming Radeon RX 7000 series graphics cards, namely the RX 7800 XT and the RX 7700 XT, have confirmed some of the previous rumors and leaks regarding specifications, as well as give an idea what models to expect from ASRock.

Reports $5.4b of revenue, down by 18 percent YoY

AMD has reported its financial results for the second quarter of 2023, reporting a revenue of $5.4 billion, a gross margin of 46 percent, and a net income of $27 million. This is a significant but expected drop in revenue of 18 percent compared to the same quarter last year, but it managed to get its gross margin up by two points.

Laptops get 3D V-cache memory

AMD has announced its new Ryzen 9 7945HX3D mobile processor, claiming the world+s faster mobile gaming processor, and bringing 3D vertical cache memory to the mobile CPU range. The Ryzen 9 7945HX3D is a 16-core/32-thread SKU with 64MB of 3D V-cache.

China-only, only for system integrators in the rest of the world

AMD has released a statement clarifying the availability of its new Ryzen 5 7500F SKU, a 6-core Zen 4 CPU that comes without integrated graphics. Apparently, it will be available on retail/e-tail shelves only in China, while other regions will only get it via system integrators.

Upgradable laptop with AMD CPUs and GPUs

Framework's upgradable 16-inch Laptop 16 is now available for pre-order in a couple of countries, offering AMD's Ryzen CPUs, as well as an optional upgradable graphics module for the expansion bay.
