G.Skill has announced its first Ripjaws DDR5 SO-DIMM memory kits, aimed at high-performance laptops and SFF PCs. The new Ripjaws DDR5 SO-DIMM series will be available in up to 32GB and 64GB kits and DDR5-5200 and DDR5-4800 frequency.

During a recent earnings call to discuss its quarterly earnings, Micron explained that the reason DDR5 demand is "significantly exceeding supply" is because suppliers are having a rough time sourcing non-memory component.
