AMD's CEO, Dr. Lisa Su, releases a brief video statement

Following the Microsoft announcement detailing an expanded partnership with AMD to make next-generation devices, AMD has now released a short video statement, giving more details about the extent of that partnership.

Dual-slot Creator series Radeon AI PRO

ASRock has announced the launch of its latest graphics card, the Radeon AI PRO R9700 Creator, built to support edge AI acceleration and professional visualization tasks. Featuring a 4 nm Navi 48 silicon, the GPU comes fully enabled with 64 compute units (4,096 stream processors), 128 AI accelerators, and 64 ray tracing units. It also packs 32GB of memory, which should help with larger AI models. 

Based on KIOXIA's 8th gen BiCS Flash TLC 3D flash memory

KIOXIA announced today the development and successful prototype demonstration of its latest solid-state drives, the CD9P Series PCIe 5.0 NVMe SSDs, designed to meet the growing demands of AI, machine learning, and high-performance computing (HPC) environments. Based on KIOXIA's 8th-generation BiCS FLASH 3D flash memory, built on triple-level cell (TLC) architecture and enhanced with CBA (CMOS directly Bonded to Array) technology, these new SSDs promise significant improvements in storage density, performance, and power efficiency.

One of AMD AIB partners

There haven't been many AMD AIB partners that have announced the Radeon AI PRO R9700, but it appears that Powercolor is on that list, as the company has listed the new Powercolor Radeon AI PRO R9700 on its website.

Six new games join the Geforce NOW list

Nvidia has announced that its new native Geforce NOW app is now available on Valve's Steam Deck, bringing the quality of Geforce RTX-powered gameplay to Valve's portable handheld gaming device. In addition, Nvidia is adding six new games to Geforce NOW.

Standard, passive, and liquid-cooled

Although we were pretty sure they were coming, Sparkle has rather quietly listed several Intel Arc PRO B60 graphics cards, including a standard blower-style one, as well as a passive and liquid-cooled version.

As well as some other GPUs

TechPowerUp has released the newest version of its GPU-Z, a comprehensive graphics sub-system information, diagnostic, and monitoring utility. The newest version, v2.66.0, adds support for new NVIDIA and AMD GPUs.

Coming in the second half of the year

At the Computex 2025 event, AMD announced its next evolution of the FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) technology, codenamed Redstone. Powered by machine learning (ML), FSR Redstone will bring Neural Radiance Caching, ML-accelerated Ray Regeneration, and ML-accelerated Frame Generation.

In addition to the Radeon RX 9060 XT, AMD also announced its new Radeon AI PRO R9700 graphics card at the Computex 2025 show in Taipei.
