In a  surprising announcement, AMD’s Kevin Lensing took the stage here in Hawaii to announce that Ryzen Mobile will support Snapdragon GigabitLTE with its laptops.

HP and Asus showcased devices

Windows 10 on Snapdragon laptops, whether they are two in ones or detachables,  are becoming real. Qualcomm and its partners showcased some devices and talked about some details and prices.

If you have been wondering what is going on with the Snapdragon 835 successor, Qualcomm confirmed last week that it plans to livecast the Second Annual Snapdragon Technology Summit Keynote.

But Intel wants higher yields

People are harrying Intel for being very late with 10nm which is true, but this does not mean that Intel couldn't ship the 10nm parts today. Intel has delayed the 10nm on purpose, as it wanted to get higher yields before it shifts to a smaller node.

To make Windows on ARM

Qualcomm might not be the only sheriff in town when it comes to an upcoming Windows 10 on Snapdragon, or Windows 10 on ARM. Nvidia was asked too.

Kaby Lake G might not be the only flirtation between Intel and AMD (RTG), there are some future parts in the pipeline,  too.

The one after Snapdragon 845

Korean based Etnews has mentioned that Qualcomm 7nm manufacturing has been a big win for TSMC while two other US and China customers chose Samsung’s 7nm. TSMC traditionially have dibs on Nvidia and MediaTek too.
