Tim Cook insists the iPhone is not dead

Its just resting

The Fruity Cargo Cult Apple's supreme dalek Tim Cook has tried to calm jittery investors worried that AI might finally kill off the sacred iPhone cash cow.

Speaking during Job's Mob’s Q3 2025 earnings call, Cook all but rolled his eyes at the suggestion that AI or other devices might dethrone the all-conquering iPhone.

According to Cook, the iPhone is going nowhere. “It’s difficult to see a world where iPhone is not living in it,” he chirped. He insisted that any new AI-powered kit coming down the pipeline would simply make the iPhone even more essential.

Given that the Fruity Cargo Cult has been dragging its heels on AI while everyone else sprinted past, this sudden embrace of AI-enhanced products sounds more like marketing than strategy.

Cook dodged specifics but hinted at future devices that would “complement” the iPhone rather than replace it, a statement so noncommittal it could've come from a Magic 8-Ball.

The comments came amid rising industry chatter about foldables, AI wearables, and other futuristic toys. Analysts are increasingly wondering whether Jobs’ Mob has any new ideas or if it's just polishing the same turd for another decade.

Cook's effort to slap down fears was a rebuttal of Eddy Cue, who dared to suggest a future where the iPhone might not be central. Cook claimed that the iPhone still takes photos, makes calls, sends emojis, and pays for overpriced coffee. What more could a visionary device possibly do?

There are murmurs about an AI-infused HomePod with a display, apparently headed for a 2026 launch. There's yet another rumoured foldable iPhone which is something else Apple is rumoured to be providing two years late.

Some Wall Street analysts call Apple’s AI strategy “slow but strategic,” which is a nice way of saying “lost in the woods.” Others reckon Cook needs to get a move on before the iPhone joins the iPod in Cupertino’s dusty museum of past glories.

Cook insisted the iPhone remains the sun around which the Apple ecosystem revolves. AI and other shiny things will simply orbit it. In other words, the plan is to keep flogging the iPhone and pretend it’s the future.
