AMD had a big day with its Ryzen launch which is the most important for AMD for years. Many didn’t believe it would even happen, but AMD has a product that competes with Intel’s fastest chips. Now, one might wonder what Intel is planning to counter it and we have a few ideas.

There are plenty of leaks regarding AMD's upcoming Ryzen CPU lineup but the latest listings on Amazon.com are quite interesting as these show AMD's flagship 7 1800X and 7 1700X listed in a bundle with Corsair Hydro Series H100i v2 liquid cooler.

Wraith Max and Wraith Spire coolers

As was the case with previous CPUs, AMD's upcoming Ryzen CPUs will be available as a tray option, without a cooler and as a "boxed" version, with cooler, and today we have a few more details regarding two boxed coolers, the Wraith Max and Wraith Spire.

AMD's CEO Lisa Su took to the stage to formally introduce the AMD Ryzen 7 series of CPUs. One of the key points made in the introduction was a previous revisit of the idea that high performance computing defines the user experience. AMD did a great job pricing the parts making them really aggressive and affordable and managed to increase the IPC by at much as 52 percent.
