Nuvias UC cashes out of boxes so it can chase cloud money

by on02 December 2025

Offloads hardware to Northamber

Nuvias UC has flogged its hardware arm to Northamber for £7.1 million (€8.3 million), handing the AV and UC distributor a tidy bundle of gear and specialist staff that fits neatly into its intelligent workplace ambitions.

With the deal wrapped, every bit of software and services is being shoved under the Konekt banner, which already pulls in £40 million in GII revenue, serves more than 400 customers across Europe and grows more than 25 per cent each year. That gives Konekt a solid platform for the next stage of its cloud binge.

The cloud comms game is ballooning at a double-digit clip, which hands channel players a fat chance to make real cash. Mordor Intelligence reckons UCaaS will hit more than $175 billion by 2030, with a 25.4 per cent CAGR, while Gartner claims public cloud spending will smash through $723 billion in 2025. The move lets Konekt funnel its energy into software platforms and services while the hardware business settles comfortably inside Northamber, which knows the AV and UC trenches well.

Nuvias UC says it will help Northamber steer the hardware business while Konekt cements itself as the channel’s dedicated distributor for cloud platforms, software and service add-ons. Konekt plans to ditch hardware entirely across Europe before the end of the financial year with a controlled wind-down to keep partners and vendors calm.

Konekt chief executive Joel Chimoindes said: “This strategic pivot allows us to deepen our expertise in cloud communications platforms and services where our partners need specialist support most.”

He added: “The cloud communications landscape is evolving fast. AI is reshaping expectations, legacy infrastructure is being phased out, and demand for integrated, scalable solutions continues to rise. With our focused vendor set and strong technical capability, Konekt is well-positioned to help partners take full advantage of this shift.”

Chimoindes said: “For Konekt and our partners, this is a moment to move boldly. We’re not just expanding our portfolio, we’re sharpening our focus, investing in technical depth, and building the kind of service ecosystem that helps partners win more, deliver faster, and grow sustainably. We’re energised by what’s ahead,” he said.

Northamber chairman Alex Phillips said: “We are delighted to welcome Nuvias UC’s hardware business and its highly specialist team into the Northamber Group. Their expertise and strong heritage in UC and AV complement our existing portfolio, strengthening our capabilities across the intelligent workplace. This addition broadens our reach and accelerates our growth in one of the fastest-evolving technology markets, ensuring we continue to deliver exceptional value to our partners.”

Konekt will stick to integrated software platforms. Its European bases in the UK, Germany, France and the Netherlands will carry on as usual, only without pallets of kit cluttering the hallways.
