During its annual Snapdragon Tech Summit 2021, Qualcomm has unveiled its latest flagship mobile SoC, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, bringing improvements across the board, including new ARMv9 CPU cores, new Adreno GPU, 7th Gen Qualcomm AI engine, camera improvements with Snapdragon Sight Camera Technology, 4th gen Snapdragon Elite Gaming, and more.

Announcement expected at the Snapdragon Tech Summit

Qualcomm has announced its annual Snapdragon Tech Summit, where the company is expected to announce its next flagship Snapdragon 898 SoC.

Snapdragon 778G+, Snapdragon 695, Snapdragon 680, and Snapdragon 480+

Qualcomm has unveiled four new SoCs, or, to be precise, two new SoCs and two "plus" versions of existing SoCs, the Snapdragon 778G+, Snapdragon 695, Snapdragon 680, and Snapdragon 480+. This can be seen as Qualcomm's push to refresh the existing lineup as well as bring 5G connectivity to mid-range and entry-level markets.

Cortex-X1 almost hits 3GHz

Qualcomm has kicked off the first day of Mobile World Congress with its higher-clocked Snapdragon 888+ 5G SoC, which is pretty much identical as the Snapdragon 888 but with a higher clocked Cortex-X1 core.

Optional 4G LTE and Snapdragon 8cx 5G

Although it was leaked back in April, Samsung has now officially announced the small 14-inch Galaxy Book Go, which starts at $349 for the WiFi-only version with Snapdragon 7c SoC.
