Ryzen 9 5900X and Ryzen 9 5950X take the lead

In addition to announcing the first four Ryzen 5000 series SKUs that will hit the market on November 5th, AMD also revealed some benchmark results for the Ryzen 9 5900X and the flagship Ryzen 9 5950X.

Four SKUs, all launching on November 5th

AMD's CEO, Dr. Lisa Su, has kicked off AMD's "Where Gaming Begins" event announcing the new Ryzen 5000 series desktop CPUs based on Zen 3 CPU architecture. With four SKUs in the new Ryzen 5000 series lineup, all available on November 5th,  AMD is claiming the best gaming CPU title, all thanks to Zen 3 architecture improvements and 19 percent increase in performance-per-clock.

High demand to blame

Nvidia has postponed the launch of its Geforce RTX 3070 to October 29th due to higher than expected demand, as the company wants a healthy stock when it hits retail/e-tail shelves.

Internal roadmaps point to the end of October

Although Nvidia has only officially confirmed three SKUs in the RTX 30 series, it appears that the mid-range RTX 3060 Ti might be also coming by the end of next month, featuring GA104 GPU with 4864 CUDA cores and 8GB of GDDR6 memory.

Hits 2.58GHz GPU clock

Considering EVGA's RTX 30 series lineup it does not come as a surprise that its highest-end model, the Geforce RTX 3090 KINGPIN managed to shatter the 3DMark Port Royal world record in the hands of Vince "K|NGP|N" Lucido.

In ample stock and "meeting proper expectation"

Nvidia had a rough start with its new RTX 3080, mostly due to scalpers, and it appears that AMD is looking not to make the same mistake.

Might extend to RTX 3090 as well

It appears that Geforce RTX 3080 might be facing a rough start and in addition to availability issues due to apparent high demand, the RTX 3080 users are facing random crashes and black screens. The issue appears to be specific to custom versions, and it might extend to RTX 3090 as it only hit the market yesterday.

$220 for 1TB

It appears that expanding Xbox Series X/S will cost quite a penny and according to early listings, you'll have to pay $220 for 1TB of storage.
