According to JPR, the discrete GPU business from add-in-boards has hit $8.8 billion in Q3 2025, reaching 12.02 million units, which is an increase of 2.8 percent. Currently, NVIDIA is holding 92 percent of the share after it has dropped by 1.2 percent, while AMD got 0.8 percent, raising it to 7 percent. As said, Intel increased its discrete GPU market share by 0.4 percent, finally hitting 1 percent.

The desktop CPU market has decreased by 7.6 percent compared to the last year, but also increased by 3.9 percent compared to the previous quarter, hitting 19.2 million units.
JPR attributes the increase in shipments to the panic due the pending tariff, which has made the Q2 unusually high and sapped some sales away from Q3.
