According to the release notes, the new Radeon Software Adrenalin 24.9.1 WHQL driver adds support for the Radeon RX 9070 GRE graphics card launched recently in China, with a note that the Linux packaged driver for this graphics card will be coming at a later date. The Radeon Software Adrenalin 24.9.1 WHQL driver is also the launch driver for Doom: The Dark Ages, which launches on May 15th, and the F1 25 game.
AMD was keen to note that the new driver adds AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 4 (FSR 4) support for new games, including Ghost of Tsushima, Frostpunk 2, Everspace 2, Fort Solis, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, The Finals, and Influx Redux. AMD is still far from Nvidia with the number of games, but it is slowly building up the list with some important titles. The new driver also expands HYPR-RX support with new games, as well as expands Vulkan extension support.
AMD's newest Radeon Software driver also fixes several issues, including application crash or driver timeout issues in games like Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition and Civilization VII, as well as an issue with system crash due to a memory leak when using SteamVR, and some issues with driver installation.
