Wafers are very expensive, especially for the 7nm leading-edge process, and 10nm is not cheap either. If you need to use a device in a battery-operated environment, then power consumption plays a critical role. The Kirin 990 5G was finally announced by CEO Richard Yu today and it is a 10.3 billion transistor three CPU cluster SoC with an integrated 5G.
