We
will rule the market
The next big thing will be 3D notebooks and the design
manufacturer Wistron expects to take most of the market.
The Chinese-language Apply Daily, which we get for the
spot the ball competition, quotes Brian Chong, chief of product planning in
Wistron as saying that his outfit will get more than 90 per cent of 3D notebook
orders in 2010. This is pretty much fighting talk as it assumed that
competition will just fling up its arms and go away.
Wistron Corporation was the manufacturing arm of Acer
Inc., which was spun off in 2000. Acer is ordering through Wistron but
it also
seems that HP, Dell, Sony and Lenovo will also place orders with the
outfit. ASUS will reportedly contract Pegatron Technology was
down to make two models. So it is not likely that everything will go
Wistron's
way.
3D notebooks are being touted as one of the next big
things. Users in most cases will have to wear polarised glasses but will see
their documents, charts and porn in glorious 3D.
