Kirk wants one now
Google said that the next version of the Nexus One phone
will be designed for enterprise users and might have a physical keyboard.
If it does, then it will be the first clear signal that
Google is gunning for BlackBerry maker Research In Motion. The comment followed Google's announcement earlier this
week that it would sell phones direct to consumers via its website.
The Nexus One, which competes with Apple's iPhone and Research
in Motion's Blackberry devices, is the first of a variety of smartphones that
Google said were in the pipeline as the company seeks to expand its reach from
the PC to the mobile world and ensure its online products and ads get prominent
placement.
