Dell teams up with Nvidia to box up AI

Dell AI Factory with Nvidia goes semantic and agentic

The Grey Box Shifter, Dell has teamed up with Nvidia to peddle the latest iteration of its AI in a box.

Dubbed Dell AI Factory 2.0, the revamped kit was shown off at Dell Tech World 2025 and supposedly gives enterprises a shortcut to LLM-fuelled wizardry.

According to Dell Infrastructure Solutions Group and Telecom senior VP of product marketing Varun Chhabra, the whole thing boasts improved networking chops.

"With 2.0, there is a big focus on obviously refreshing the latest infrastructure based on all the innovation that Nvidia is bringing in," Chhabra said.

Apparently, Nvidia networking is now baked into Dell's offerings, which means customers can buy compute, storage and networking in one big slab of AI optimism.

Nvidia’s VP of generative AI software for enterprise Kari Briski told SiliconANGLE’s theCUBE team that both outfits were helping steer the AI juggernaut.

Dell AI Factory 2.0 is supposed to sort the entire AI lifecycle, from data centre grunt work to niche app deployment. Briski reckons this is where agentic AI and the so-called data flywheel come into play.

“Enterprises are moving from central processing unit powered enterprise operations to [graphics processing unit-enterprise operations … because of LLMs and agentic AI,” she said. She insists these AI agents need semantic storage to function properly.

Instead of shoving raw data into a black box, semantic storage is meant to spit out something vaguely resembling knowledge. Chhabra said this means Dell’s data lakehouse can dish out answers faster without forcing devs to wrangle with semantic search engines.

“Whether it’s structured data or unstructured data, whether it’s sitting on Dell storage or out on the edge or in the cloud... they want federated access,” he said.

The trick, Briski claimed, is in turning logs and feedback into agentic upgrades. “You evaluate these digital workers,” she said. “And then, you’re going to put them back out. The data flywheel is meant to do that.”
