Nothing for them to do

Google is trimming the numbers of people it uses to hire others by 100
heads.
Since Google is not hiring anyone and has laid off most of its
contractors it probably does not need to pay people to sit around and not find
them staff.
Internet titan's vice president of People Operations, Laszlo
Bock, wrote in a blog posting on the California company's website that Google is
still hiring, but at a reduced rate.
He said that given the state of the
economy, we recognized that we needed fewer people focused on hiring. Some of
the staff who have been made redundant will be hired in other parts of the
search empire, he said.
